In the realm of education marketing, it is rare to find reports that go beyond the metrics of clients served and students recruited. However, we believe that our sector is no different from any other, as everything we do has an impact on the people we work with, the communities that support us, and the environment that sustains us.
The decision to produce an impact report for 2023 was made during our transition from NEO Academy to geNEOus in February of the same year. With limited structures in place for capturing necessary data, the report serves as a benchmark for the development and elaboration of the 2024 impact report.
As a digital-first consultancy, we acknowledge that our impact on the environment is less than that of traditional businesses. Nevertheless, we are committed to examining our emissions and making strides to reduce them. We extend an invitation to others in our sector to follow suit, irrespective of legal requirements applicable only to larger companies.
One area where we believe we can make a positive impact is in choosing to work with clients who align with our values. By supporting clients committed to social and environmental responsibility, we extend our impact beyond measurable metrics, aligning with our dedication to the transformative power of education as a force for social good.
We also invest time in thought leadership to be a voice for positive change in education. We actively support institutions and organizations positioned to provide such change. Our impact report explores the trade-off between attending conferences as speakers and panel members and the environmental impact on our scope 3 emissions.

The answers to these questions are interconnected, as the impact we make on our core Education Marketing & International Student Recruitment community is not separate from the way we support them to meet Generation Z and Alpha where they need us to be. As such, the report seeks to answer these questions in smaller sections that fully explore each dimension of our impact on the different layers of stakeholders.
In embracing these core questions and acknowledging our limitations, we reaffirm our commitment to a holistic approach in assessing and improving our impact.
