The lone male in the geNEOus team, Mark also brings the connection to teaching, learning, and academics into the mix. A teacher of 20 years, and an education consultant with experience managing institutions, designing learning experiences and training teachers.
Mark firmly believes that the best institutions are where the campus team, administration, management, learners, and academics are all on the same page. We agree.
To bridge the gap, Mark heads up geNEOus' content strategy, writing articles on all aspects of education and education management for our blog, interviewing guests on our weekly The geNEOus Podcast, and generating personalized and engaging content for our clients.
A skateboarder, world music DJ, plant-based cheese producer, writer and educator, his interests might be diverse, but he approaches each and every aspect with passion, although in skateboarding (as in love), too much passion gets you hurt. Fortunately, much of his work for geNEOus can be done sitting down, in his home base of the Highlands of Scotland.
Mark tells us that, unlike many other writers, he is not able to easily “adopt a persona” and write for institutions that he does not align with. His values of integrity and purpose, authenticity and connection fit well with geNEOus and our vision for change in the world of education.
Working with Mark is straightforward. When he has a sense of what you want to convey, he can find the right tone and voice quickly, putting together high-quality copy and PR that can be emotive, personal, funny, thought-provoking and even a little cheeky if that’s your thing.
More purpose-centered education, skateboarding, world music, fluffy cats, all words, wild swimming and creativity.
